Unforgotten experience

September 7th, 2008 by alyn-87

It have been long time did not post something on my blog as i seldom use this blog already.I usually wrtie my msn blog. :-)

Last week, is lifegame of Wesley church and my college. Half of the participant i knew them plus some of the participant came from others church and some from miri, bintulu..This time as a volunteer a bit difficult for me as many of them is my friends.I was touched when the alter call for full time ministry and the drama “why didnt you tell me”. At the alter call, got four youths went on stage.then their friends all went forward to pray for them..I was touched…

In this lifegame, i almost been locked..Thank God that i got another friend been locked with me.That moment i was really afraid..I kept on knocked the door and shout..but the volunteers outside cant hear. We want to call them, but no hp; go down, the door is locked also; go up, it is very dark..I even fall from the stairs..Lastly, becos of my knocking and shouting, the volunteers outside finally heard it then open the door for me and my friend. Wah…my fear at that time all gone…All gone!!!!

A different in this lifegame is that there is also a kids camp..as some parents bring their whole family to camp then little kids who cannot join lifegame then will have another program for them. So that they will not affect their parents. I feel warm when see so many kids was there and parents willing bring their family came. It like family camp but adult and kids is seperated in this three days. They only see each other while at night cos kid all went back to their room and stay with parents. When the day came, all busy on their own work. But i quite pity the volunteers who help in the kids camp…haha… i heard some of my friends who work in there, said they really tired with all those kids..they really playful…my friends, exspecially guy, really cant tahan with those kids…in this kid camp, they need to play with them, accompany them eat, ask the kid to sleep…really like nanny…After they told me this, i realise that, they really more tiring compare with us those who work in lifegame….haha….

Looking forward to the end of september as going to miri for the camp too….hehe…

International style lifegame

June 11th, 2008 by alyn-87
Yeah…Finally lifegame finished….This time got 470 participants attend
this convention. There are many ppl came from different country.Got from
singapore,Taiwan,Hong Kong,Sabah,West Malaysia. This lifegame is really big group
i never met.

Volunteer this time got 47 persons. One person gonna look after 15 or 16
group members. But we really get into to talk to them and make friend with
them. This time, volunteers all wear formal during work time, like office look. And
during work, all wear coat,it is really look grand.Really really formal. We every
night almost briefing till 1am something, and woke up at around 6am.On sunday,we
woke up at 5am becos need to prepare to bring them to churches. Each group went
to different churches.Volunteers went with their group too…Really new to
me..After the service, each group got their gift from the church;some are pen and
cards;some are "bao";some are "zhong zi"etc..

This time another different is,everyday we have newspaper to read.I was so
surprised of that.It all about what had happened in the camp,in the city.Every
participant got one. Some are ppl who been asked about how was their life, and
what is their feeling…Or what big news in the city..It is really different
compare to others lifegame that i attend..

I thank God that many ppl willing to renew their belief and willing to be
full time in God’s ministry..Through this convention,i also met my primary
school classmate..She is employed by me…then she asked whether i remember
her.I really dont know and so surprised that can met her in this kind of
situation.She recognised me,but i didnt recognised her.Wow…haha…I also met
some of my friends who came from Miri too…Wow…really great…

The carnival really different too…The participants present their
cultural..Really funny..Through this we really get to know their
cultural.haha…Great!!! They also get a lot of money from the game we set. This
is really look like give money to them..haha…some of them won thousand plus
leh….haha…they really enjoy..The funny things is the spring and run..they
turn 10 round then run to the chair and sit down. Some of them turn half way, fall
down already;some of them even run to another chair which not belong to
them;some even run half way,like drunker,turn here and there…Really
fun…

Lastly, the last nite of the camp, the volunteers really look like
Stars..sign here and there…At the closing ceremony, all the volunteers been
asked to stand on the stage and also others who help in the camp also been
asked. And then we took group photos. Many cameras…We feel look like Stars and i
think all the volunteers never been this before…haha….

May 6th, 2008 by alyn-87
Sunday(4/5)is the thanksgiving sunday..this also one of the part of the
50th celebration…Morning asusual,i went to church at 630am as GB choir was
going to present at norning service..As a conductor of course must go
earlier…My choir member also went to church earlier…

    Then afternoon,asusual taught piano…almost 4 o’clock i went to church
again for evening service…I went two services one of the reason is i conducted
the GB choir in the morning and as a pianist of the evening choir..Another
reason is different speaker in two services..So i went…Plus the weather is
really hot..when i reached the church, sweating…Then the service
started…

The service end at around 635pm,then of course i went home. When i reached
home,my mom told me that somebody gave me a cake…She said maybe Uncle Hua Kong
gave me cos she saw his car went out from my house after gave cake to my piano
student. He is the conductor of the evening choir..So i went to church and found
him and asked is it true.. He said yes, then i asked "for?" he said, just
appreciate me for helping him in the evening choir just now…Wow..i really
surprised…Cos i always help ppl playing piano and didnt think of will get
something from them..Usually they just say thank you…But he bake cake for me
just for appreciate me…This is my first time helping for playing piano and got a cake…

Know what,my sisters and my mom not dare to eat that cake cos as first they
dunno this cake is belong to who as my paino student dunno my english name.So
they just put it there and when i got home, they ask me..haha…they really

Dance with missing shoes and no stocks…

May 6th, 2008 by alyn-87
Last night was 50th dinner at civic centre…many ppl ooo…..why i say
dance with missing shoes and no stocks?hehe…Let me tell you…

There is a item presented by methodist children home. All kids and there are
some Juniors..They dance and there is a little kid…i think only 4 or 5 years
old..Really cute..and his action is big…He made everybody laugh..One part
there is kicking…i think is his shoes too big..then when he kick, one of his
shoes flew..everybody laugh;after a while, another shoes flew and almost flew
down the stage..Everybody laugh…Lastly, when finished,he had to take his shoes
then went to the back of the stage…Then the whole item
finished…haha…

Then Uncle Peter asked congregation whether want them present again…everyboday say yes…then came to the end of the dinner…They presented
again…This time he is clever..He took of the shoes and dance without
shoes…Of course everybody laugh even happily…maybe he thought i took of the
shoes ppl will not laugh at me..haha…Then he just wore stocks to dance…Who
knows, when he just came out to dance, only in few minutes,he fall down as the
stage is slippery and he wore stocks..of course will fall lah…then in the
middle of the dance, all the boys went to back of the stage then had some girls
in front of the stage dance..After that, the boys came out again..Becos of the
slippery, this time he took of the stocks…So he dance without shoes and
stocks…haha…Everybody laugh even louder than before…haha…the way he
dance is really cute…haha….

members…Item presented by MYF,GB and evening choir…We also sang the Golden
Jubilee Hymn wrote by Rev David McDonald…

After praise night,i went out the church and surprisingly i met my primary

time when we were primary one in Methodist Primary School…haha…Nice~~~

After that, we went for supper with others friends…Ling Jin and I kept on
talking about our classmate, seems like try to get back my memory…haha…Cos i
really cant remember…haha…That night, i cant really sleep leh…Cos too

The biggest riches

March 23rd, 2008 by alyn-87

What is your biggest riches?Do you think of this question before?I saw this article from the magazine..It goes like this…
The women who lived within the walls of the Weinsberg Castle in Germany were well aware of the important riches it held. For example gold, silver, jewels, and the other wealth.
Then the day came in 1141 A.D.when all their treasure was threatened. An enemy army had surrounded the castle and demanded the fortress, the fortune, and the lives of the family within. There was nothing to do but surrender.
Although the conquering commander had set a condition for the safe release of all women, they refused to leave unless the enemy army agreed with their condition as well. They demanded that they be allowed to fill their arms with as many possessions as they could carry out with them. Knowing that the women couldn’t possibly make a dent in the massive fortune, their request was honored.
When the castle gates opened, the army outside was brought to tears. Each women had carried out her family.
The women of Weinsberg, indeed, were well aware of the most important riches the castle held.
From this article,i can sense that the love of the women to their family. They dont want their family to die as family is their important riches to them.So they use thier wisdom to do make condition to enemy as enemy also do so to them. This is fair…
1 Corinthians 13:13 says that "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE." Love can means many things..The love here means the love between family.Nowadays, there are many cases about family conflict..why?because of love…And family conflict cause many youths or their children do not like to stay at home. They like to lepak at shopping centre or join some group to have their own team as they feel their friends will support them and give them assurance.
Our family is irreplaceable in the world.Of course,no one can replace God…But God send family to be with you so that you will not lonely..So on earth, can say your family is irreplaceable…You cannot say i want that girl’s mother to be my mother, i want that kind of father so you go and change it.This is impossible…
So do precious our family while we are still alive…And do draw close to God as the biggest riches is our God.

March 15th, 2008 by alyn-87
Before the day be a bridemaid,of course have to go back to Miri to
prepare..I went back on 10 of march, which is monday morning..It is my first time
went back by myself by bus.I usually going back with my family and we all go
back by bus..this time only me myself..quite exciting…As i am going back, i
told myself if got chance, share the gospel who sit beside me..Then i look
forward to it…

When i reached the bus station,i saw MTC bus which i am going to sit for
going back to Miri.So my mum helped me to carry my stuff and i went on the bus.I
saw noboday in the bus and that time my mom went home.I thought i went on wrong
bus as the time is nearly 8 o’clock,is the time to go and nobody in the bus. Then
i sat in the bus and called my mum to make sure whether it is the right bus.My
mum said yes oo…Then after few minutes many ppl went on and also a group of
women..Then that came a guy who is sit beside me.When i saw him,he look quite
scary..So whole journey i didnt talk to him,no need to say about the
gospel…haha…

Around 3:30pm,i arrived Miri bus station. My cousin fetch me back my
grandma’s house. Then i cooked myself mee and went to church for practise walking
into the churhc when the wedding ceremony. So around 4:45pm i went and finished
by 6:15pm something.Quite tiring…About 5:45pm my two sister also arrived my
grandma’s house.Night around 7:30pm, we went to Mega hotel for practising the
items which we are going to present while wedding dinner. We practised with all
my cousins…We only went back at around 10:00pm.Whole day just busy busy and
busy…

The next day morning went out with my cousin, who is going to be bride, and
my parents and sisters. My parents arrived Miri at midnight..Me and my cousin
went to beauty shop. Before that me and my cousin went to Survey to buy
something. Then we arrived beauty shop by 10:00am.I washed my face and she
wanted to do something on her finger nails..Then my parents and my sister went
to shopping…I washed my face,they went shopping…Then
after that we only went back for lunch at 12:30pm.Afternoon i took a nap then
woke up at 3:30pm then went to my cousin’s house practise "You raise me up" for
the wedding dinner…Then night all the relatives will have dinner at my
grandma’s house and had a ceremony for my cousin before she married…

Then came to my cousin’s wedding day…Around 4:30am,i woke up already but
still lied in the bed turn here and there as my cousin who slept beside me hadnt
woke up yet..Around 5am,i woke up and went down to eat "sou mian" as my
breakfast. Then prepare to make up,wear the bridemaid clothes…Around
9am,bridegroom came to bring bride to church..Of course they have to do
something first before he can see his bride…haha…

Around 10am the wedding ceremony started…Whole ceremony i need to be
aware as when bride went down or on to the stage, i have to be there to help her
to pull her "skirt"..haha…Then after that,I accompanied her to her husband’s
house then went to take photo at the park…Really tiring…then went to her new
house changed the clothes then go to her husband’s house again waiting her
brothers to bring her home..this is the "pantang"…So reached my grandma’s
house…My job is considered done…My job done…

Then the next day came back to Sibu…Also by MTC bus….the road really
bad..and cos me not feeling well….Now feeling better loh…haha…In this, i
learned some of the "pantang"of Fu Chaw..Really very tiring with all these
things…haha….
